The Commercial-Appeal is a newspaper after my own heart!  Browsing through the online edition today, I came across an article titled Out of this world: The best burgers in town.  I can’t tell you how thrilled I was to stumble upon this.

Now I know that in order to survive in Memphis, you have to know BBQ…and trust me, I’m OK with that.  BBQ is a beautiful thing.  And while I was raised in Upstate, NY, I’m naturally a pizza and hot wings guy.  But being able to locate a good burger is any given moment is a necessity no matter where you live.  There is something about the combination  of  ground steak, cheese and a fresh bun that is just without equal.

Alex’s Tavern, Sweden Kreme and The Lamplighter Lounge were all mentioned as top spots.  What do you think?  Who gets your vote for the best burger in town?
