Don’t Miss the Down to Earth Festival at Shelby Farms on April 21s
Now that we’ve gone over some water-saving techniques that you can employ in your Meadows apartment just in time for Earth Day, we’d also like to fill you in on a fun activity that’s going on in Memphis to celebrate this earth-conscious holiday.
The Down to Earth Festival is one of the largest Earth Day festivals in the United States and it’s held right here at Memphis’ own Shelby Farms Park. Taking place on Saturday, April 21st, this outdoor festival will feature environmental education and activities, live musical entertainment from local and national performers, and fun for the whole family. The festival will offer arts and crafts, children’s eco-art contests, high adventure activities, a wide variety of food and beverages, tours of the park and much more.
The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and there is a suggested $5 donation to Shelby Farms Park for parking. This should be a great time for people of all ages so mark your calendar!
